$20M or $200M, what would you do?

GM, GM. Another day, another edition of Bean Boy. This last week has been a rollercoaster, but it seems things are finally starting to cool down. EULER CLAMPS DOWN

In our Monday edition, we briefly touched on Euler Finance, which was exploited for $196M in a flash-loan attack. Today, Euler took the Etherscan, as that’s where all vital communication happens, right? Euler sent an on-chain message to the hacker, demanding 90% of the funds to be returned, or face the law…

Which brings up an interesting point. The hacker has just shy of $200M, Euler is offering $20M. I’m not saying the hacker is a chad, or am I? but I do believe they just made a generational wealth play. To add, the $200M is sitting idle and would be hard to move without getting it tracked to some degree, maybe it’s worth just taking the $20M and not having to look over your shoulder for the rest of your life. On top of this, if the funds are not returned, Euler will offer a $1M reward for any information regarding the hacker. A $1M reward for information that leads to my arrest? LMAO I’m just going to give $2M to all of my friends to keep their mouth shut. Problem solved 😎

DID SOMEBODY ORDER AN NFT MOVIE?

Today, NounsDAO announced that a proposal for a feature-length movie had been approved. But what on earth will this even look like? NounsDao announced a collaborative approach to this never-seen before movie, linking up with Atrium, a network of Web 3 artists and creators. Through this partnership, ‘Nouns: A Movie’ will be created in multiple story acts that when pieced together, form a feature-length movie. The purpose of this? To introduce Nouns to the world. I mean, so far so good, right? What could go wrong? Weelllll, it’s reported that the first instalment of ‘Nouns: A Movie’ has a budget of $125,000 USD, which afterwards, the community the DAO can vote on whether or not to continue the project. Look, I’m all for DAO’s, but I just can’t see this being a blockbuster and I’m pretty sure most Hollywood level films aren’t on a $125,000 budget. Not to mention community voting doesn’t always end well.

I won’t lie though, the animation does look pretty good! Go ahead and take a look at it for yourself below. But if we’ve learnt anything from NFT’s and Crypto in general, it’s that the final product is not even remotely close to what was promised. I’m looking at you Pixelmon…

Not only that, NounsDAO have also announced a plan to expand into a comic books series. Not only that, Australian Open (yes, the tennis tournament down under) announced that it was partnering with NounsDAO among others to launch its second ArtBall NFT collection.

ON THIS DAY LAST YEAR…

March 15, 2022. Some may call it the beginning of the end for Do Kwon and his precious Luna. Today marks the day that Do Kwon officially wagered $1M that Luna would trade >$88 USD. At the time, Luna was currently trading around this price when one popular influencer in the Crypto Twitter space (Algod) offered up this bet to the creator of Luna himself. Do Kwon happily obliged and the wager was on.

I don’t think I have to make everyone re-live what happened. Needless to say, Do Kwon did not win that bet.
