📸 Get me out of here I'm a celebrity

+ Every Doge has their day.

GM, GM. Our final edition of the week is here! This week we’ve covered a lot, so excuse us while we rest and recover over the weekend. Fear not though, as we’ll be back at it on Monday morning. Enough of that though, let’s see what’s in the pod for today.

How we looking today?

Nothing to see here guys…move it along.

HOW MUCH WOULD YOU PAY?

We’re not the biggest fans of influencers… and today’s news has only made it worse. Yesterday, a popular on-chain sleuth that goes by @Zachxbt on twitter, shared a leaked list of a price sheet. However, it wasn’t just any random price sheet, it was the price to have your crypto or NFT project promoted by an influencer. Take a look at the list for yourself. A warning….what on EARTH are some these prices?! People can’t seriously be paying

Some notable names included Jake Paul ($150,000+),Tyga ($70,000+) and our favorite, Hasbulla ($2,000). What’s also important to note here is there is no information actually given about what the promo entails. If it’s just one post…yikes, I’ll save my money thanks. Funnily enough, this price list was leaked by Raichu, a guest on yesterday’s Peas in the Pod, where we covered his alleged involvement in numerous crypto and NFT scams. After the leak, users took to Twitter to express their views, and boy did their tweets not disappoint.

All in all, a pretty bad look for these influencers, and with the DOJ starting to crackdown on scams in the crypto world, I wouldn’t be risking my freedom for $1,500…would you?

SOMEHOW WE’RE STILL TALKING ABOUT…

Ordinals… that’s right, they somehow still exist. If you’re an ordinal fanatic, we have some good news for you. Magic Eden has recently rolled out its creator launchpad, allowing creators to securely mint their inscriptions before selling to collectors. To kick off their newest launchpad, Magic Eden have also teamed up with Ethereum-based NFT collection Godjira to release its Bitcoin-based (Dead)Jira collection later today.

It comes as part of a series of announcements by Magic Eden on Twitter, with the launch of their ETH platform also occurring. But that’s been done already! Check out their announcement below

But while we’re too busy smack talking them, they continue to prove doubters wrong. Just a couple of months ago, the total number of inscriptions was under 10,000, now the race to 1M is on… and well… we’re happy to eat our words on this one. The demand for Ordinals has remained solid since its inception, but has also seen a spike recently due to the rise of text-based ordinals. Let’s see if the hype lasts this time shall we?

DOWN GOES DOGE

On April 3rd, Elon hilariously replaced the Twitter logo with a photo of….Doge? The end result? Dogecoin soared in price, jumping to over 10c in 24 hours as pandemonium (or something like that). But as always, all good things come to an end, and every Doge has their day.

Late yesterday, that day came. Elon changed the Twitter logo back to the actual logo. The result? Doge dropped 7.3%, down to 8.6. As always, users on Twitter took turns at making light of the situation. Take a look at some of our favorite memes below 👇

PEAS IN THE POD

  • South Korean prosecutors have asked Binance to block Do Kwon’s stash of $69 million worth of Bitcoin. If they don’t block it…

  • A recent study claimed 99.5% of crypto investors did not pay tax in 2022.  Australia and Finland had the highest proportion of tax-paying investors.

  • Luxury brand Ralph Lauren has started accepting crypto payments in its Miami store. Miami doing Miami things…

HOW YOU BEAN - A READERS CONFESSION

Lost 100k from leverage trading the other night. Still not down bad as I only used 10% of my portfolio. Was a bit salty still tho… Luckily I went into a Discord server that was hacked and as a result the floor price went 0 costing all the buyers. I chatted with all the holders and made fun of them to make myself feel better, forgot about my loss already.
